Precise PetLab Diagnostics and Hospital Ltd, a specialised veterinary hospital in Gulshan, Dhaka, celebrated its first anniversary on Friday, marking the occasion with the launch of a mobile application to make its services more accessible to pet owners.
The anniversary programme was held at Rubaiyat House in Gulshan-2 from 11am to 5pm. The event included a floral welcome, introduction of guests, a presentation on the hospital’s facilities and innovations, a guided tour of the premises and a feedback session.
The newly launched mobile app will allow pet owners to book appointments from home, contact the hospital more quickly during emergencies and access their pets’ medical records through their phones. The platform is also expected to help the hospital maintain contact with patients and receive feedback from clients.
Precise PetLab opened to the public on 25 August 2025, with the aim of providing timely and accurate diagnosis, emergency support and treatment in line with established medical standards.
Sadia Zareen Shampa, managing director of Precise PetLab, said the organisation is committed to ensuring the welfare, health and protection of animals across the country.
“Through the implementation of our organisation’s programmes and initiatives, we are committed to ensuring the welfare, health, and protection of all animals across the country, whether stray, domestic, or wild,” she said.
According to the hospital, it is the country’s first 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital with a dedicated emergency unit. It said it had remained operational for 504 consecutive days up to 30 October, without interruption.
The hospital also provides intensive care, automatic ventilation and critical care services. With a facility spanning 15,000 square feet and a team of 30 doctors, it describes itself as the largest veterinary hospital in Bangladesh.
During its first year of operation, the hospital provided services through more than 4,000 appointments, attended to 1,364 emergency clients and performed over 800 surgeries.
The anniversary celebration was also an opportunity to recognise the hospital’s team, introduce its facilities to guests and collect suggestions to inform its future development.
As it enters its second year, Precise PetLab said it would continue to strengthen its clinical capabilities, develop its workforce and work towards improving the standard of veterinary care in Bangladesh.
