Four people were arrested after several crude bombs exploded outside the residence of International Crimes Tribunal-2 Judge Manjurul Bashit in Kalabagan, Dhaka, on Friday.
Sheikh Zahidul Islam, deputy commissioner of police (Ramna Division), said four to five crude bombs exploded in front of the ICT judge’s residence shortly before Juma prayers.
“Three unexploded crude bombs were recovered and defused by members of the bomb disposal unit. Four people were arrested with the help of local residents while they were fleeing the scene,” he said.
However, a relative of the judge said miscreants had thrown three crude bombs in front of their residence, two of which exploded.
