The results
of this year’s HSC and equivalent exams will be published on Saturday instead
of the previously announced Thursday, said Prof Syed Akteruzzaman, president of
the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
In an
earlier notification it was announced that the results would be published
Thursday, but soon concerns surfaced that the prime minister’s ongoing Japan tour
could disrupt the formalities.
In this
backdrop, the education board officials have decided to defer the result
publication by two days.
The exams began on 2 July. In total, 12,70,583 students took part in the exams at 2,687 centres under 11 education boards.
