Biman Bangladesh Airlines has extended the suspension of flights on the Dhaka-Dammam and Dhaka-Riyadh routes until 4 November following ongoing Houthi attacks targeting airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a press statement on Sunday, the national flag carrier said the decision was made in the interest of passenger safety.
According to the statement, passengers could travel to and from Saudi Arabia through Jeddah and Madinah international airports in case of emergency.
Considering passenger demand, Biman has been operating two daily flights from Dhaka to Jeddah since 16 October. The service will continue until 4 November.
Meanwhile, regular flights on the Dhaka-Madinah route are being operated using Boeing 787 aircraft.
