The results of the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on 29 October, according to Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, the chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and the president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
According to a notice issued on Saturday (24 October), details regarding the publication of the results will be announced through a press release on 26 October.
The announcement is expected to provide students and guardians with further information about the publication of the results.
Earlier, the committee had proposed that the results be published between 25 and 29 October, and the date was subsequently fixed for 29 October in consultation with the Ministry of Education.
The examinations began simultaneously across the country on 2 July under nine general education boards, the Bangladesh Technical Education Board and the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board.
The examinations were initially scheduled to end on 8 August, but flooding delayed the completion of examinations under several boards, including Chattogram. The practical examinations were completed by 15 August.
A total of 1,270,583 candidates registered for the examinations under the 11 boards, covering HSC, Alim, HSC (Business Management and Technology), HSC (Vocational) and Diploma-in-Commerce programmes.
The examinations were held at 2,697 centres across 9,439 educational institutions.
This year, candidates under the nine general education boards sat for the examinations using a common question paper.
