The attack took place at the central sorting warehouse of
AJR Parcel and Courier Service at around 6:44pm on 20 October.
Afsar Uddin, the firm’s manager for HR and administration,
filed a case against unidentified people at the police station on Wednesday.
According to the company, 70 to 80 people stormed the premises, vandalised
property and carried off equipment.
The case statement alleges that the attackers numbering 70-80, wearing masks and helmets, arrived on 35 to 40 motorcycles.
Between 40 and 50 of them entered the compound while the rest remained outside the gate.
Eight or nine were said to be armed, according to the case.
The complaint says the group, who identified themselves as
associates of Captain Emon, smashed CCTV cameras, damaged furniture and
customers’ parcels, and broke into the server room.
