Hero Alom files case against ex-wife, two others over extortion, death threats

Content creator Ashraful Hossain Alom, popularly known as Hero Alom, has filed a case against his former wife, Sathi Khatun, 22, and two others, accusing them of demanding Tk15 lakh in extortion, committing fraud and threatening to kill him.

Hero Alom filed the case with a Dhaka court on Monday morning.

The other accused are Ahsan Habib Selim, 30, an associate of Hero Alom, and Md Mahidul Islam, 28.

Shanta Saksina, a lawyer for Hero Alom, confirmed the matter, saying Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Raju Ahmed recorded the complainant’s statement and directed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate the allegations and submit a report.

According to the complaint, Hero Alom married Sathi on 4 April this year, allegedly unaware that she had been previously married. She then allegedly developed a relationship with Ahsan Habib Selim.

Hero Alom subsequently divorced Sathi on 29 September, and on 10 October, the three accused allegedly demanded Tk15 lakh from him.

The complaint also alleged that the accused abused Hero Alom and his family members on social media and threatened to kill him.
