between Bangladesh and Türkiye to address climate change and promote
sustainable development.
The Presidency of the 2026 UN Climate Change Conference
(UNFCCC COP31) will convene a COP31 World Leaders’ Summit in Antalya in
November 2026, during the early days of the conference, to give leaders an
opportunity “to announce new, concrete, and implementable climate commitments
and to launch initiatives that address key gaps and will support positive
outcomes in the negotiations.”
Türkiye will host COP31 in Antalya under an arrangement with
Australia to share the COP31 presidency, with Australia designated as the
“President of Negotiations.”
