BPPA CEO included in ECNEC as assisting officer

Abu Sayed Md Kamruzzaman, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA), has been included in the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) as an assisting officer.

The Cabinet Division issued a circular in this connection on Thursday, saying the appointment would come into immediate effect. According to the circular, the terms of reference and other aspects of the Committee will remain unchanged.

Headed by the prime minister, ECNEC is the highest executive body responsible for reviewing and approving public investment and development projects.

Kamruzzaman has extensive expertise in development project management, public procurement management, digital transformation, cybersecurity and institutional development. He is an enlisted trainer of the Ministry of Public Administration and has delivered lectures at leading training institutions at home and abroad.
