PM orders cleanliness, renovation at parliament complex

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday ordered the authorities concerned to keep the National Parliament complex clean and carry out necessary renovation work to preserve its environment and architectural beauty.

He gave the directives while inspecting the parliament complex in the afternoon.

During the visit, the prime minister toured the grounds, gardens and different sections of the complex, observing the overall environment, infrastructure and cleanliness of the area.

He emphasised regular maintenance to preserve the beauty and environment of the Parliament Plaza.

Tarique instructed the authorities to ensure the cleanliness of the grounds and gardens, promote greenery and take proper care of existing trees and plants.

He also directed them to identify areas in and around the Parliament Plaza requiring renovation and complete the necessary work.

The prime minister stressed the importance of regular monitoring and maintenance of the plaza and adjacent areas while preserving the architectural design and aesthetic appeal of the National Parliament building.
