The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate has warned against the circulation of misleading, baseless and malicious information about the Bangladesh Army and Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-Uz-Zaman on online platforms and social media.
The ISPR made the warning in a statement issued on Saturday (10 October) night.

Such information appeared to be part of attempts to mislead the public and undermine the image of the Bangladesh Army, it said, urging everyone not to be influenced by such misleading and motivated propaganda.
The statement also said the Bangladesh Army remained united, backed by a strong chain of command, mutual trust, unity, discipline and professionalism.
It added that the Army was firmly committed to carrying out its responsibilities towards the country and its people.
The ISPR also called on the public to consult official and reliable sources for any information concerning the Bangladesh Army and the Army chief.
