Fire at garment factory in Gazipur under control

A fire that broke out at a garment factory in Gazipur on Saturday noon was brought under control.
The fire broke out at around 3pm on the third floor of Metrix Garments in the Degir Chala Fakir Market area. It was brought under control at around 6pm.
Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defence in Gazipur Md Saidul Alam Chowdhury confirmed the matter to the Daily Sun, saying nine units worked to bring the fire under control.
No one was injured, while the Fire Service rescued 69 people from the spot, he added.
