611 education cadres appointed under 49th BCS

The government has appointed 611 candidates to the Bangladesh Civil Service (General Education) cadre through the 49th BCS (Special) examination.

The information was disclosed in a notification issued by the concerned wing of the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday.

The newly appointed candidates have been asked to join their designated offices under the Secondary and Higher Education Division on 12 October.

If a candidate fails to join on the specified date, it will be deemed that they are unwilling to join the service, and the appointment will be considered cancelled.

According to the notification, the selected 611 candidates will receive salaries under the National Pay Scale 2026, with a pay range of Tk44,000–1,05,900.

As one of the conditions of appointment, the candidates must undergo basic training at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre or at another training institution designated by the government, the notification added.
