Four districts get new deputy commissioners

The government on Tuesday appointed three deputy commissioners (DC) to different districts and transferred one DC as part of the ongoing administrative overhaul.

The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification to this end, saying the transfer and appointment orders would come into immediate effect.

As per the notification, Abu Sayyid, deputy commissioner (DC) and district magistrate at Pirojpur, has been transferred to Tangail; Md Humayun Kabir, deputy secretary at the Finance Division, has been appointed as the DC at Nilphamari; Chowdhury Ashraful Karim, deputy secretary at the Finance Division, has been appointed DC at Patuakhali; and Md Golam Rabbani, deputy secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration, has been appointed DC at Pirojpur.
