Nure Tasmin Urme appointed UNO of Ghatail upazila in Tangail
A 37th BCS (Administration) cadre officer, Urme joined the civil service in April 2019

The Dhaka Divisional Commissioner’s Office appointed Nure Tasmin Urme as upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Ghatail Upazila in Tangail through an order issued on Monday.
She will also serve as an executive magistrate,
including exercising powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal
Procedure, 1898.
A 37th BCS (Administration) cadre officer, Urme
joined the civil service in April 2019. She has served in various
administrative positions across the country, including assistant commissioner
in Khulna, assistant commissioner (Land) in Sirajganj, Tangail, and Gazipur,
and UNO of Bagerhat Sadar.
During her tenure as assistant commissioner (Land)
in Tarash, Sirajganj, she prioritised resolving complex land-related issues
involving underprivileged elderly women.
Her initiative received wide accolades. She also
earned public trust by resolving long-pending cases at the Basail Upazila Land
Office and ensuring the regular delivery of land services.
Urme holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in International Relations from the University of Dhaka.
