AL leader Arafat identified as ‘fugitive’ in info ministry’s honorary board

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has used the word “fugitive” with the name of former state minister and Awami League leader, Mohammad A Arafat, in its honorary board.

The board mentions the tenures of all the ministers and state ministers in the ministry’s history. The board marks 11 January 2024 as Arafat’s joining date, but in the space for mentioning the term expiry date, the board has inscribed: “fugitive.”

Bangladesh Satellite Company Ltd Managing Director and CEO Muhammad Imadur Rahman has shared an image of the board on social media.

In a text attached with the image, Imadur thanks present State Minister Yasser Khan Choudhury for giving the "right name" for the fugitives.
