The Embassy of France has donated 16 air purifiers to Smart
Air Bangladesh to support its efforts to improve air quality in local schools,
the embassy announced on its Facebook page on Thursday.
The air purifiers were formally handed over by Ambassador
Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet to Aysha Wisam Rashid, chairperson of Smart Air
Bangladesh, following a signing ceremony.
Smart Air Bangladesh is a social business dedicated to
helping people protect themselves from air pollution.
The donated air purifiers will be reconditioned and made
available to local schools, contributing to healthier learning environments for
students and teachers, while promoting reuse rather than disposal - a small but
meaningful step towards sustainability, the French embassy added in its social
media statement.
