Bangladeshi technology startup Xephyr Labs has launched Lattu.ai, a free artificial intelligence (AI)-powered platform designed to help Bangladeshi students plan and pursue higher education opportunities abroad.
According to a press release issued by
Xephyr Labs, the platform provides students with information on more than 3,000
universities in over 18 countries, covering more than 800 subjects and over 100
international scholarships.
It also offers information on
accommodation, eligibility criteria, application procedures, timelines, costs
and university addresses.
The platform has been designed
specifically for Bangladeshi students to help them make more realistic and
informed decisions about studying abroad, read the release.
Pallab Mahmud, co-founder of Lattu.ai
and a software engineer with professional experience at Microsoft, said the
platform was created to make it easier for students to plan their higher
education and research opportunities abroad.
“We wanted to create a platform where
students can easily plan their higher studies and research abroad. Lattu.ai
consolidates all essential information so that Bangladeshi students can access
a world of knowledge at their fingertips,” he said.
Citing UNESCO data, the release said
52,799 Bangladeshi students pursued higher education abroad in 2023, nearly ten
times the number recorded in 2010.
The platform’s key features include an AI Journey Planner, which creates personalised study-abroad plans based on students’ goals, budgets, academic backgrounds and preferences.
Its Country Explorer provides
comparative information on costs, application processes and risks across
different destinations, while the Scholarship Hub brings together information
on various scholarship opportunities.
The platform also includes an Application Tracker that
allows students to monitor their progress step by step, from preparation
through arrival abroad. Its Community Forum is designed to facilitate
peer-to-peer exchange of experiences and advice.
Its News Section provides updates on visa policies and
regulatory changes, according to the release.
