Mannan becomes Petrobangla chairman

Additional Secretary to the Energy and Mineral Resources Division Md Abdul Mannan has been appointed chairman of Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources Corporation (Petrobangla).
He had been serving as Petrobangla chairman in an
additional responsibility since 17 May.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a
gazette notification in this regard on Monday, from its Deputation-1 branch.
According to the notification, Mannan has been
posted as Petrobangla chairman on deputation following his transfer. The order,
issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
Mannan is currently serving as an additional
secretary at the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
With the latest appointment, he will now serve as
the regular chairman of Petrobangla.
