A Bangladeshi farmer was injured during firing allegedly by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) while working on a field along the Feni border in Chhagalnaiya on Friday.

The injured farmer was identified as Mosharraf, 45, son of late Md Mostafa of Miar Bari in Joynagar area of Chhagalnaiya upazila.

He is undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

CMCH police outpost In-Charge Nurul Alam Ashek told the Daily Sun that Mosharraf was working on the field when a bullet fired by the BSF suddenly struck the left side of his back.
