DU law professor appointed PSC chairman

The government has appointed Dr Nazmuzzaman Bhuian, a professor at the Law Faculty under University of Dhaka, as the new chairman of Public Service Commission (PSC).

He will remain in the position till he turns 65 years or completes five years in office, said a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday.

Dr Nazmuzzaman will take the role of PSC chief, after Dr Mobasser Monem, a professor of public administration at DU, quit from the post.

The interim government appointed Dr Mobasser as PSC chairman in October 2024.
