Kazi Jesin appointed BTV director general

The government has appointed media personality Kazi Jesin as the director general (Grade-1) of Bangladesh Television (BTV) on a one-year contractual basis.

The Ministry of Public Administration's Contracts and Foreign Recruitment Branch issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.

According to the notification, the appointment has been made under Section 11(2) of the Bangladesh Television Authority Act, 2001.

Kazi Jesin will serve as the director general of BTV for one year from the date of joining, subject to relinquishing any other profession, business or employment with any government, semi-government or private institution or organisation.

The notification also said that the remaining terms and conditions of her appointment will be determined through a formal contract.

Kazi Jesin has worked as a journalist for several television channels. She is currently the host of a television talk show on Gazi TV.
