The prosecution on Thursday submitted a call recording as evidence in the case against Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and six others over allegations of crimes against humanity committed during the July Mass Uprising.
The recording was presented during the second day of
closing arguments before International Crimes Tribunal-2, headed by Justice
Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, BBC Bangla reports.
According to the prosecution, the audio recording is
of a telephone conversation between Obaidul Quader, who served as the road
transport and bridges minister at the time, and Saddam Hossain, then president
of the Bangladesh Chhatra League.
The case involves charges of crimes against humanity
filed against Quader and six other accused in connection with the July Mass
