In a statement issued on Saturday (1 August 2026), the Energy and Mineral Resources Division said the clarification was made in response to recent reports published by various media outlets regarding a potential increase in gas prices.
"The government has no plan to raise gas prices at this moment," the ministry said, urging all concerned not to be misled by speculation or unverified reports.
