Govt to halve maintenance allowance for vehicles of officials

The BNP government is set to drastically trim the funds provided to public officials for the maintenance of their vehicles.

The monthly allowance of Tk50,000 will be trimmed down to Tk25,000, according to the decision taken by the Ministry of Public Administration.

The proposal in this regard has already been sent to the Finance Ministry for final approval.
