Prime
Minister Tarique Rahman would join a bilateral meeting with Chinese President
Xi Jinping at the “Great Hall of the People” in Beijing on Friday morning.
The meeting
would begin at 10am local time (8:30am Dhaka time), said the PM’s Adviser and
Spokesperson Mahdi Amin on Thursday.
PM Tarique Rahman would naturally raise issues concerning Bangladesh’s interests during the meeting with Xi Jinping, Mahdi Amin said.
The PM,
with Allah’s blessing, would also secure positive outcomes in the talks for further
consolidating the development and progress of Bangladeshi people, Mahdi Amin
added.
As a result
of the China tour, the multidimensional ties between Bangladesh and China would
deepen further, Mahdi Amin said.
Bilateral engagements
would reach new heights in every aspect including strategic cooperation,
people-to-people ties, development projects, trade, investment and job
creation, noted the PM’s adviser.
