Four members of a family from Bangladesh were critically injured in an Israeli air strike on the Nabatieh city in southern Lebanon on Thursday.

One woman, Joyna Akter from Narsingdi, lost a leg in the explosion caused by a drone strike, according to the Bangladesh embassy in Beirut.

The other injured are Md Momin Mia from Brahmanbaria and two children. It was not clear how the four were related, and the embassy said it was collecting more data.

They were treated at Sheikh Ragheb Harb University Hospital in Nabatieh, and were due to be sent to Sidon city, also known as Saida city, on Friday.

It is worth noting that Israeli forces have killed 3,324 people and injured 10,027 others in Lebanon since the start of the conflict with Iran-aligned armed group Hezbollah on 2 March.
