Return train journey: Tickets for 3 June go on sale today

To facilitate the return of homebound travelers after Eid-ul-Azha, Bangladesh Railway is selling advance tickets for intercity train seats under a special arrangement. Tickets for intercity trains scheduled for 3 June will go on sale today.

On Sunday (24 May), ticket sales for trains operating in the western region will begin at 8:00 am, while tickets for trains operating in the eastern region will be available from 2:00 pm. For passengers' convenience, all seat tickets will once again be sold online.

According to Bangladesh Railway’s Eid operational plan, tickets for intercity trains on 31 May were sold on 21 May, tickets for 1 June were sold on 22 May, and tickets for 2 June were sold on 23 May. Tickets for 4 June, the final day of sales under this arrangement, will be available on 25 May.

Authorities also said that tickets purchased during this period will not be refundable. Each passenger will be allowed to buy a maximum of four seat tickets in a single transaction. If more than one ticket is purchased, the names of accompanying passengers must be provided at the time of booking.
