Return Eid train journey: Tickets for 1 June available today

Bangladesh Railway is selling advance intercity train tickets under a special arrangement to facilitate passengers returning home after the holy Eid-ul-Azha. 

Tickets for intercity trains scheduled for 1 June will be available on Friday (22 May).

Ticket sales for trains operating in the western region began at 8:00am, while tickets for eastern region trains will go on sale from 2:00pm. For passengers' convenience, all seat tickets will once again be sold exclusively online.

According to Bangladesh Railway’s Eid action plan, tickets for 31 May journeys were sold on 21 May. Tickets for 2 June, 3 June, and 4 June journeys will be sold on 23 May, 24 May, and 25 May, respectively.

Authorities also said that tickets purchased during this period will be non-refundable. Each passenger can buy a maximum of four seat tickets in one transaction. 

If more than one ticket is purchased, the names of accompanying passengers must be provided at the time of booking.
