Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Tuesday inaugurated the three-day Land Service Fair-2026 aimed at making land-related services more accessible and user-friendly for people across the country.

The Prime Minister formally opened the fair at 11:05am by pressing a button at the Land Building in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

He also unveiled the covers of three publications issued by the Ministry of Land.

Following the inauguration, the fair began simultaneously in all districts and upazilas nationwide and will continue until 21 May.

This year’s theme is: “People-friendly automated land management, secure land and a prosperous future.”

Officials said the fair aims to familiarise citizens with newly introduced digital land services and provide a number of services directly at the venue.

After the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister visited different stalls and service centres at the Land Building. He also toured the call centre, citizen service centre and day-care centre located there.

The fair has been organised to raise public awareness about simplified land services, digital platforms and citizen-focused services, particularly at the grassroots level.

Visitors will be able to learn about a range of land-related services, including registration on the land portal, online e-mutation applications, payment of land development tax, collection of khatian and DCR documents, and access to mouza maps.

Several services are also being provided instantly at the venue, including submission of e-mutation applications, distribution of certified copies of khatians and collection of land development tax payments.

As part of the initiative, the authorities are promoting the national land hotline 16122 and divisional hotline 01706888787 for land-related complaints and assistance.

A booklet titled Bhumi Amar Thikana is also being distributed among visitors to help them better understand land services in simple language.
