The bodies of four Bangladeshi expatriate brothers from Chattogram’s Rangunia upazila have been recovered from inside a car in Oman.

Their bodies were found inside a vehicle in the Muladdah area of the Gulf country on Wednesday night.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Rashed, Mohammad Sahed, Mohammad Siraj and Mohammad Shahid. They hailed from Bandarazar Para in Lalanagar Union under Rangunia upazila of Chattogram.

According to local sources, two of the brothers were scheduled to return to Bangladesh on Friday. On the day of the incident, the four siblings reportedly went out together in a car for shopping. Their bodies were later discovered inside the vehicle.

Preliminarily, it is assumed that they may have died being in contact with toxic gas inside the car, although the exact cause of death has yet to be confirmed.

Mohammad Yasin Chowdhury, President of the Chattogram Association in Oman, confirmed the incident to journalists.

Rangunia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Nazmul Hasan told The Daily Sun that no official information had yet been received from the government.
