Bashundhara City opens vibrant Baishakhi fair

A colourful Baishakhi fair marking the Bengali New Year was inaugurated at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in the capital on Wednesday.

The “BCDL Baishakhi Fair 1433” was launched in a festive atmosphere at Level-1 of the shopping complex, drawing visitors with its vibrant arrangements and celebratory mood.

Bashundhara City Developers Limited (BCDL) Deputy Managing Director Captain (retd) Shaikh Ehsan Reza inaugurated the fair. The programme began at 11:30am with recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Vivo is the title sponsor of this year’s fair, while Uttara Motors, Foody and Speed have joined as powered-by sponsors.

In his inaugural speech, Shaikh Ehsan Reza greeted the nation on the occasion of the Bengali New Year and expressed hope that the new year would bring happiness, peace and prosperity to all.

He also thanked the traders and customers of Bashundhara City.

After the inauguration, he visited different stalls at the fair. Senior officials of BCDL were present on the occasion.

The day-long fair features different arrangements, offering visitors a festive atmosphere and the spirit of Baishakh.
