Six more flights were cancelled at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Thursday amid rising regional tensions in the Middle East following US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
With this, a total of 287 international flights at the airport have been cancelled since 28 February due to the unrest in the Middle East, Airport Public Relations Officer Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil said.
Six cancelled flights included one arrival and one departure of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, one arrival and one departure of AirArabia, and one arrival and one departure of SalamAir, he said.
The sudden flight cancellations have left migrant workers and Middle East-bound passengers frustrated and anxious.
However, four arriving and five departing flights to and from the Middle East operated as scheduled.
