Seven international flights have been cancelled at Chattogram's Shah Amanat International Airport amid rising regional tensions following US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
Airport Public Relations Officer Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil said on Sunday that among the cancelled flights on Saturday were Biman Bangladesh’s arrivals from and departures for the Middle East, reports BSS.
Flights, cancelled at Shah Amanat International Airport, included two arrivals and one departure flight of US-Bangla Airlines and one arrival and departure flight of Air Arabia.
However, six arrival and four departure flights from and to the Middle East operated as per the schedule.
Flights to Chattogram from Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi by Salam Air, Air Arabia, and US-Bangla Airlines are still being disrupted.
Since 28 February, a total of 162 international flights have been cancelled at the airport due to the unrest in the Middle East.
