Man dies after falling sick at Chattogram voting centre

Monu Mia, a 55-year-old voter, has died after falling sick while casting his ballot at a polling centre in Chattogram city.

The incident occurred around 7:30am on Thursday at the Kajir Deuri Boy’s School polling centre. Monu Mia was a resident of Battery Goli in Ward No. 15.

According to his uncle, Fazal Kabir, Monu Mia felt unwell and collapsed while going to vote in the morning.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors on duty declared him dead.
