Arms, ammo seized in C’nawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive seized arms and ammunition from a mango orchard in Gomostapur upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Saturday night.

Tipped off, a team of Rab-5 conducted a drive in the Rohanpur mango orchard around 10 pm and recovered one shutter gun, five bullets, two magazines and eight sharp weapons in an abandoned condition, said a press release issued on Sunday.

The seized arms were deposited to Gomostapur Police Station.

However, none was arrested in this connection.
