Home Ministry forms National Election Security Coordination Cell

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday formed a law and order coordination cell to ensure security during the Bangladesh national elections.

Home Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury announced the decision after coming out of a meeting at his Secretariat office. 

He urged the countrymen to stay alert regarding any law and order situation ahead of the elections on 12 February, calling on the people to contact the security cell over phone.

The security cell’s numbers include 02-47118700, 02-47118701, 02-4711702,  02-47118703, 01550-064226 and 01550-064227.
