Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman to step down on Saturday

Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman would step down from his post in the government on 27 December, he announced on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, BNP leaders bought nomination papers on his behalf, two days after he announced he would contest the general elections from the Jhenidah-1 constituency on BNP’s ticket.

On 8 August last year, following the ouster of Awami League government, he assumed the role of attorney general.
