Osman Hadi’s family gives consent to surgery in Singapore

Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho and a potential independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, is set to undergo emergency surgery in Singapore, according to his family.

The information was shared on Thursday through a post by the administrator of Osman Hadi’s verified Facebook page.

The post said Osman Hadi, who was among the frontline figures of the July mass uprising, is currently in a critical condition and at a “life-and-death juncture.”

It added that his family has given consent for the surgery to be performed in Singapore.

The statement also appealed to well-wishers to pray for his recovery, seeking divine mercy for his survival.

It further noted that if Osman Hadi were to succumb to his injuries, supporters and members of the pro-democracy movement would be urged to gather at Shahbagh in Dhaka in support of safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
