A woman and her daughter were allegedly stabbed to death at a flat in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area this morning.

The deceased were identified as Malaila Afroz, 48, and her daughter Nafisa Binte Aziz, 15.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered their bodies from the flat situated on Shahjahan Road in Mohammadpur area, said Abdullah Al Mamun, assistant commissioner of police of the Mohammadpur zone.

He said, “It is believed that the domestic help fled the scene after killing them.” 

Police have launched an investigation in this connection.
