A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines was forced to make an emergency landing at the Dhaka airport on Monday afternoon, almost 21 minutes after take-off.
The Chattogram-bound BG-615 left the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:34pm but returned at 2:55pm. No casualty or losses were reported over the incident.
The plane’s cabin had overheated, and the crew found no other way to address the crisis other than aborting the flight.
ABM Rowshan Kabir, general manager for public relations wing at Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said the passengers will be sent on the next flight.
Earlier, on Sunday, a Dhaka-bound Biman flight was cancelled in Rome. The plane remains grounded at the Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport.
