JS body for accurate lists of 1971 martyrs, freedom fighters

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on Monday recommended preparing accurate lists of the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War and freedom fighters (FFs), along with a report on the findings, to ensure the country's Liberation War history is properly documented.
The recommendation came at the committee's second meeting of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad, held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
Committee Chairman Md Monirul Haque Chowdhury presided over the meeting. Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan, State Minister for the ministry Ishraq Hossain, committee members Md Abdul Hannan and Rokeya Begum, among others, attended.
The meeting confirmed the minutes of the previous meeting and discussed in detail the major activities undertaken by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs over the past six months of the government and progress in implementing them.
The committee also recommended arranging priority-based medical treatment abroad, in phases according to their needs, for injured July uprising fighters.
