The Grand Finale of Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 will be held in Dhaka on March 20. Singer and actor Tahsan Rahman Khan, model and actress Bidya Sinha Saha Mim will be the judges at the final round of the beauty pageant.
In the meantime, the top 50 contestants of Miss Universe -2020 have been selected through a live audition on February 11 and a virtual audition on 13th February, said a press release.
Among the top 50, the best 20 contestants will go through a rigorous grooming session from February 20. The winner of the Miss Universe 2020 will be the representative of Bangladesh in the 69th Miss Universe 2020 pageant to be held in the United States next May.Miss Culture Worldwide 2018 Priota Iftekhar, fashion designer Shahrukh Amin, fashion editor of Ice Today Magazine Gautam Saha and 2019 Miss Universe Bangladesh First Runner-up Alisha Islam were judges of the audition round.
According to the organisers, the competition saw a total of 9256 registrations this year among them a total of 500 participated on the audition round.
Shafiqul Islam, National Director of ‘Miss Universe Bangladesh’ competition, said, “The number of talented participants increased this year compared to previous edition.”
“The platform builds confidence among women that they have the ability to stand on the international stage and present their culture. The presence of the guardians of the contestants on the day of the audition proves that the interest of the people with such a platform is increasing day by day.”
