Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Friday said investigation is going on to find out the perpetrators of Al Jazeera’s propaganda.

“Investigation is on to identify those who spread propaganda at home and abroad, using Al Jazeera,” he said.

Quader, also the Awami League general secretary, made the remarks while addressing a virtual press briefing from his official residence on parliament premises in the capital.

The minister said Al Jazeera’s imaginary report will also be proved as false one.

“There had been propaganda and rumors against Sheikh Hasina, which were later proved as false and Al Jazeera’s baseless report will also be proved as false,” he said.

The minister alleged that vested quarters at home and abroad are involved in hatching conspiracies to develop a crack in the unity between the government and the Awami League.

“No conspiracy will work as the Awami League is united under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

Talking over the attack on the motorcade of Basurhat mayor Abdul Quader Mirza, the AL spokesperson said that directive has been given to law enforcing agencies to take action against the culprits to find out the truth.

Mentioning the Bangladesh Nationalist Party has been involved in unleashing propaganda to save the party after sensing its sure defeat in the polls, Quader said BNP has lost the municipal polls due to their negative politics.

“But the people are happy due to the unprecedented development under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

Talking over BNP’s recent announcement for movement, Quader said top to bottom leaders of BNP should resign as the party has become isolated from the people because of them.
