T Sports granted media rights

T Sports, the first sports channel in Bangladesh, has earned the media rights for the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 tournament, said T Sports officials on Monday.

T- Sports, a sister concern of Bashundhara Group, launched the first ever sports channel in the country with an aim to offer its viewers with all kinds of sports entertainment in Bangladesh and all over the world.

“We are very proud to earn the media rights of the Bangabandhu T20. It is a major break for us and we are looking forward to make our presence felt through this tournament as we believe that we can reach the maximum number of people considering the popularity of cricket across the country,” T Sports General Manager (Operations) Tasvir ul Islam told The Daily Sun on Sunday.

“We got the all the three rights namely DTH, OTT and satellite rights, of the competition and we will be telecasting it exclusively on T Sports,” he said.

According to T-Sports officials they will be eyeing to go for media rights of other events as well which will be offered by Bangladesh Cricket Board in future as they are well aware it can be a major boost for their channel.
