State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Saturday called on the youth to become risk-taker and develop leadership skill in order to become successful rather than running for job.
He made this remark at a virtual meeting styled “Career Vision for the Future Generation during the Global Pandemic of covid-19 and beyond” organised by University of Liberal Arts (ULAB).Speaking as the chief guest, Nasrul Hamid said that during the coronavirus pandemic the use of digital platforms have flourished in the country and created opportunity for the youth to explore more possibilities.
In order to become successful youths should try to get employed by 30 years of age and if it is not possible, he or she should not give up.
Instead, they should focus more on taking risk every day, he added.
In reply to a question regarding Minister’s entrepreneurial journey, the state minister said: “At the age of 28, I engaged myself in real estate business also took risk with five others which turned out to be successful.”
Assistant Professor of ULAB University Dilara Afroz Rupa presided over the meeting while Special Advisor to the Board of Trustee Prof. Imran Rahman, among others, also spoke on the occasion.
