Accused placed on remand

CHATTOGRAM: A court here on Sunday placed an accused of the murder case of former Superintendent of Police (SP) Babul Akter’s wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu on a two-day remand.

Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin granted the remand for the accused Shahjahan Mian.

The court also ordered to quiz two other accused Motaleb Mia alias Wasim and Anwar Hossain at the jail gate, said Assistant Commissioner (Prosecution) Kazi Shahabuddin Ahmed of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP).

PBI Chattogram Metro ASP Md Moin Uddin, also the investigation officer of the case, submitted a five-day remand petition for the accused.

After hearing the petition, the court passed the order, said the AC.
