A business match-making event was held on Monday between Bangladesh and Philippines’ businessmen eying to increase bilateral trades between the two countries.
A seminar on ‘Bangladesh-Philippines trade and investment potentials’ was also held at Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) office in the capital.A 15-member delegation of Philippines including businessmen from agriculture, vegetables, tea, drinks, medicine, cosmetics and packaging machinery joined on the match-making session on the sidelines of the seminar.
16 entrepreneurs of different business entities of Bangladesh also joined the session, according to a DCCI release.
Speaking on the occasion, DCCI president Osama Taseer said, “There are huge potentials for bilateral trades between the two countries. The bilateral trade was $65 million in 2017-18 fiscal year.”
