Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said the ongoing development works of the busy Agrabad Access Road and Port Connecting Road will be completed before the Eid-Ul-Fitr.

He said this while talking to representatives of ‘Nagorik Uddyg’, a platform of civil society, at a view exchange meeting at Conference Hall of the CCC on Monday.

Mayor Nasir, also general secretary of city unit Awami League (AL), said he has constantly been monitoring the development works of the roads so that the works can be completed before the upcoming Eid.

“I regularly hold meeting with the persons involved with development works of the roads and give them directives to complete the works soon,” he said.

The mayor informed that development works of the Access Road from Bepariparra to south end of the Port Connecting Road and Nimtala to Wapda areas of the connecting road are now going on in full swing under a project.

He said the CCC has been working sincerely to make the roads useable for traffic movement and reduce suffering of commuters in the rainy season.

Nagorik Uddyg Convener and city unit AL Vice President Khorshed Alam Sujon placed 14-point demand before the mayor at the meeting. Representatives of the organisation and CCC officials were present at the meeting.
