The World Autism Awareness Day will be observed in Bangladesh as elsewhere in the globe today with a pledge to bring the people suffering from autism and other physical disabilities into the mainstream of development, reports UNB.

The theme of this year’s day is: ‘Assistive Technologies, Active Participation’.

The Ministry of Social Welfare will organise a programme at the capital’s Bangabandhu International Conference Centre around 10:30 am on this occasion, according to a press release of the Press Institute Department (PID).

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to inaugurate the program of the day.
